During the midst of the pandemic Wyoming's kids got up and got active to complete various fitness activities. Ms. Alfes led a Fitness Team and together they encouraged our students to get up and get fit. Their work was rewarded by winning a $1,500 grant from Independent Health Fitness for Kids and Play 60 Challenge!! This grant will be used to purchase fitness equipment or to enhance the health and wellness program here at WCS.
In a letter from Kelsey Kurtz, Project Manager from the Independent Health Foundation she states, "Thank you for all your hard work, and flexibility as we navigated a very difficult end of the school year...We appreciate all your feedback as well as your willingness to adjust and adapt to the changing times."
I am sure we can all agree, after a year of isolation and confinement this challenge is exceptionally rewarding and is an indicator of the determination of faculty and students here at WCS to press on to success.
Congratulations to the "healthy" student body of WCS!!
